ZAGREB, 6 May, 2019 – One of the most recognisable names in MMA will be in Zagreb this week.
Former Dream, Strikeforce and K-1 world champion and current UFC fighter Alistair Overeem will be in the Croatian capital this week as part of American Top Team’s four-year birthday celebrations in Europe.
The English-born Dutchman will be in Zagreb on Wednesday, 8 May where he will conduct a training seminar and a meet and greet with fans.
It is not the first time Overeem has been in Croatia. Back in 2010, Overeem was a guest at a martial arts event in Karlovac, fightsite.hr writes, and last year he was in Split watching Croatia take on Russia in the quarterfinal. He was wearing the Croatian kit with Ivan Rakitic’s name on the back.

Overeem (38) has UFC heavyweight victories to his name against the likes of Fabricio Werdum, Mark Hunt, Andrei Arlovski, Junior dos Santos, and Brock Lesnar. He was knocked out in the first round by Croatian-American Miocic in the UFC heavyweight title fight in 2016.
