Croatian rugby has a proud tradition embracing players of Croatian decent from big rugby-playing nations.
Over the years there have been a number of players with Croatian heritage from Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, where world-class rugby is played, who have represented the Croatian national team.
There have even been players who have represented New Zealand’s famous All Blacks who have donned the red and white checkers of Croatia including Frano Botica and Matthew Cooper.
